Bakersfield the HQ of this prestigious law firm will be installing the Allworx 24X system in their offices over the course of this month completing installation in the new offices on November 28, 2008 and open for business on Monday December 1, 2008. This will include connection of the Telepacific MPLS Network between the first two offices in Bakersfield and Redlands, CA.
This voice, data and Internet Network will allow Attorneys in all offices to communicate using the latest Voice Over IP technology between offices. the same network will be utilized for data traffic as each office can connect to the Sql Server and Time Stamp Data base in the Bakersfield office. By using the Telepacific Network for VoIP and Data they save over seperate network architecture.
In addition all calls between offices are free using 4 digit dialing and intercom between extensions in each office. This self healing redundant design was conceived by Andrew Cohen Vice President of ATEL and Search4voip.com. Both Redlands and Bakersfield offices employed Integrated Smart Voice PRI and Interne Cicuits from Telepacific giving a secondary rout in and out for all offices if the main office goes down. In addition each office has a survivable Allworx server located on that offices LAN with redundant POTs line access in case of an outage.
Please stand by for more info as we complete the installation of 7 additional offices across California.
UPDATE – 5/14/09
Many challenges have faced us in completing the installation of the network for Borton Petrini Law. The switches play an integral part in the design of the network and the VLAN routing required an upgrade from the Linksys switches to the Hewlett Packard Procurve switches.
- High-speed/media-
flexible uplinks including Gigabit-SX, LX, and 1000Base-T - Quality of Service through Class of Service (CoS) prioritization features
- Optional redundant power supply
- High performance Gigabit stacking
The ability to have all 48 ports POE with 10/1000 up to Gig e throughput was a key factor in the decision to go with the Procurve Switches. The IT manager at Borton was interested in the Web Interface and Port Monitoring capabilities.
We also had to add additional bandwidth to the MPLS leg in the main office in Bakersfield. This gave them a 3.0Mb Bonded MPLS circuit just for voice and data between offices. Each office has a 1.5 Mb MPLS connection on the TelePacific Managed MPLS network. This is agregated in the main office where they have their servers and do everything from time cards to SQL Server data base.
As of todays date all 9 offices are working on the network with fully integrated voice and data between all offices. They use 3 digit dialing and intercom features between offices and can use the Allworx Call Manager to see the presence of people in other offices.
